This is Yolee Annette. We pray this update finds you well!
Thank you all for your prayers! I am more then a month behind on ministry happenings! So in this update I will catch up on the news. My father arrived in Los Angeles from Bolivia on the 12th of July, where mami joined him for the last stretch of the trip!
In our last update I gave a schedule of what my father would be doing in Bolivia and Argentina. I will do my best to share with you how the Lord has blessed all these plans and done more! Keeping up with my "viejito" is a challenge! (And I am not even with him!)
Pastor Larry Sanchez (Spanish ministry pastor of New Song Calvary Chapel in Lake El Senor, CA) joined my father from the 10th to the 19th of June. By the looks of the pictures (I will be posting on our blog) they had a great time ministering together!
Marriage Conference in Yacuiba, Bolivia. June 12 and 13
Seventy people attended the marriage conference. The Lord spoke to many couples through the Bible study in Songs of Solomon and were blessed in seeing God's view on marriage. In seeing the pictures that were taken of this conference you may see how many couples were touched and marriages were transformed! Praise the Lord! This marriage conference is becoming popular in Bolivia, thus resulting in future invitations!
IBS (Inductive Bible Study) Seminar in Tarija, Bolivia. June 15th through the 18th
The highlight in what my father has shared with me on this seminar are the two kids that attended.
A missionary sent two boys ages 11 and 12 to take the IBS seminar, because of their hunger and interest in God's Word. To some it may seem crazy to allow two pre-teens attend a Bible Seminar, but it makes us excited! The Lord has a plan for these boys!
I remember when we lived in Chiapas, Mexico and had the STSDC Seminars, there were teenage boys that took the Seminar and today are pastors of their own congregations! We pray for these two boys, may they keep their eyes on Jesus and grow to be men of god!
IBS in Salta, Agentina June 23 to the 25
Sixty people attended. The pastors that attended were very happy with the seminar. They have invited my father to return as they plan for a larger seminar March of next year.
STSDC Graduation in San Joaquin, Bolivia June 30 through July 2
Thirty seven brothers and sisters graduated from the correspondence Seminar offered by Seguidores De Cristo. These brothers and sisters are already in ministry in the Amazon jungle. Some are pastors, some evangelists, Sunday school teachers, youth leaders and other areas of ministry! Many expressed how grateful they are to the Lord for this course. Now they feel more equip to minister and a better understanding to their call.
During the three days in San Joaquin my father taught the IBS Seminar the graduates. My father invited pastor Rosendo Vaca, from Trinidad, Bolivia to teach in between sessions of the seminar. Pastor Rosendo took the IBS seminar two years ago and has been teaching the Bible inductively ever since. My father share that it was phenomenal to see and hear him teach God's Word using what he has learned!
IBS Seminar July 7 through the 10
Seventy people assisted this seminar. Most of this brothers and sisters are already involved in ministry. They are very thankful to the Lord for the vision we have in going to their country taking these studies.
God's Plans First
I believe when we dedicate each day to the Lord, and give Him our plans He takes them and does beyond whatever our little brains can imagine! So here are some God scheduled event's for this trip! (I am sure there are more!)
While in Tarija June 15 -21, my father was invited to be interviewed on the Christian radio station to share more about IBS! This is "cool" (as my father would say) because the desire of Intensive Care Ministries and Seguidores de Cristo is that more pastors and leaders would learn of these Seminars, that God's word could be studied and taught in depth.
June 20 and 21 an unplanned marriage conference took place in Tarija. Sixty-five people assisted!
June 26 through the 28 unplanned IBS Seminar in El Bordo, Argentina. Twelve people that are in ministry assisted.
Thank you once again for all your prayers.
Please take into consideration our ministry needs.
