BOLIVIA Team Testimony 1

ministering the kids on the river community

The Bolivia mission trip has been a life changing experience for me. Being my first mission trip, I was not really sure what I was going to face. We had an agenda but God had another one and we followed His. The people in Bolivia are very loving and hospitable. Everyone was so nice to us, not only believers but everyone. But Bolivia needs more missionaries, especially in Beni. They are hungry to know the Lord, "the harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few." Just to get to Santa Ana was a mission, but we enjoyed too. I couldn't tell you which was my favorite experience in Bolivia for they were many, but one I always remember is the day we expended at the communities along the river. We were only able to visit two of them, but I understand there are many others. We were able to minister the kids by taking BVS there and expending some time with them. It was amazing how good was their attention. Seeing the conditions they live there was impressive. It's hard to believe, we can live without that many gadgets. I will never be able to forget the people in Santa Ana, they are part of my memories forever. As a result of this trip, my heart has open more towards missions, I have become more aware of how unthankful we can be sometimes, learned few of the challenges missionaries face in the mission field, and not to forget them in my prayers. Getting to know Pastor Carlos was a blessing to me. I admire him for his dedication not only in Bolivia but other parts of the world where some wouldn't dare to go. He truly is an inspiration.
